SS 309 Sheets are tough and ductile and can be readily fabricated and machined. SS 309 Sheets and Plates has high corrosion resistance and strength compared to 304 stainless steel. Stainless Steel UNS S30900 Plates is hot worked at 1177 degrees C (2150 degrees F) followed by reheating at 982 degrees C (1800 degrees F). It can be then quenched rapidly. Post-work annealing can be done to restore its corrosion resistance property.
