Product Description
1.4028 displays the best corrosion resistance in hardened and slightly tempered (around 150oC) condition. A smoothed (industrially polished) and residue-free surface is necessary in order to achieve optimum resistance of this chromium steel grade.
Applications
Dental and surgical instruments, cutlery, pump shafts, gears pinions and cams, steel balls, and various hand tools. Not recommended for vessels containing high pressure gases or liquids or for plastic molds where high surface finishes are required.
